Old route 66

This is probably the BADDEST stretch of road we have every biked on.














From our base in Moabi park, it is only 35 miles to the end of this ride. 25 miles is just a ball, then the next 8 are hairpin turns and dropoffs!














These 2 guys on harleys stopped and chatted at the lookout then took off!
















This very cool tourist trap is at the end of the twisties...then it was time to turn around and go home!

Oatman AZ on Route 66

These pictures are from our field trip to Oatman Arizona.
Neat motorcycle road...it is on old Route 66. Great desert views and mountain twists.

The burros are wild...sort of. They depend on the tourists for food. Carrots are a buck a bag.

The old main street is now a tourist haven with cheap t-shirts and expensive food.
